As Russel also explains in connection with the relationship between power and the individual, society strives from the initial tribal phase towards the establishment of a government that aims to regulate human life, which is more and more orderly and covers an increasingly large area. The society of our time is characterized not only by the atomization of individual communities and families, but also by the alienation of individuals. The extremes, the sharp separation between different tendencies and views, are a natural consequence and end result of this process.
