The relationship between the stone as the extension and the line as the subject thrown into it is at the center of this work. As an archaic symbol, the line is used to define, separate and mark space, and when transformed into the personal, it has the task to divide the form into two or more parts with minimalist simplicity, turning it into a specific situation: such is the vertical line drawn in the middle of the railway bridge in Helemba, which marks the border between the two countries above the river Ipoly. The relative position of the lines is always mixed: they can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal, straight, wavy, curved, broken or convex – and the mix of the types of space in the stone polished by the flow of water, in the light-shadow illusions, in the bridge as a whole of lines and surfaces appears in the project in its mass, the result of which is presented using the stop motion technique. Ferdics engraved a straight line on the uneven surface of stones of different sizes collected on the banks of the Danube, which runs around and bisects it. The eventuality of engraving depends on the surface structure of the material. The line starts on the uneven surface of the stone and pebble, then the line engraved around the stone returns to the starting point. In this way, the straight line turns into a convex arc, circle, or ellipse in space. The horizontal, vertical and diagonal movement of the animated stones, the repetition of the movement, the rhythmic change of daytime convey the passage of time, while the cast concrete squares under the stones evoke childhood, also giving the video aspects in time.
