„I have been playing with this idea for a while now, the idea of the artificial stream bed and the old one… It is quite an amazing collocation actually, it always reminds me of my grandma, as if I would be returning to her, back to the old stream bed, to some kind of a nest, to my roots… back home. This is what the old stream bed resembles to me… the return to my grandma. I got one of my ideas right here, which was to return the water from the diverted Danube into the original, old stream bed. I was wondering how to make it effective and interesting enough at the same time… and that is the point actually, as everything seem so fake and artificial these days… I mean, everything is being decided in laboratories, who is positive, who is negative (The artwork was made in 2020, after the first wave of pandemy Covid in Slovakia – red.). So I decided to use lab equipment, various pipettes, condensers, burettes… all are very exciting glass tools, that is why I want to apply them. I plan to somehow fix them to my body and fill them with water from the diverted Danube. Then I will take it to the old river branch and meanwhile I will open the stopcocks so water can leak out and I will leave an almost invisible mark on the way, symbolically joining the new and the old river branch. When I will get to the old branch, I am going to spill all the water left in the equipment right into the river, back to her grandmother, to her roots…“
